The Playing>UJB>Morning Dew>UJB>Playing in this show may be the tastiest of all the dead sandwiches.

For fall '73 lovers, 11-21-73 has a very interesting twist: MS Half-Step>Playing>El Paso>Playing>Dark Star jam>Wharf Rat>Playing>Morning Dew!
Heading back to '72, 10-18-72 begs to be heard: Playing>drums>Dark Star>Morning Dew>Playing!

1974 had some good Playing in the Band sandwiches....starting with the last Playing>UJB>MD>UJB>Playing on 3-23-74 (I think my favorite is the one from 11-17-73).
Then there's the Playing>Wharf Rat>Playing from 6-8-74, the Playing>UJB>Playing from 6-30-74, and the Playing>Scarlet>Playing from 8-6-74.
Perhaps the best one is from 7-21-74: Playing>Wharf Rat>Truckin>Playing.

(The entire 6-28-74 second set was a Sugar Magnolia sandwich, first time they did that, though that's stretching it a bit. They did similar, more continuous Sugar Magnolia medleys on 8-6-74 and 10-19-74.)

I'm a fan of Dark Star sandwiches myself...
11-8-69 Dark Star>Other One>Dark Star>UJB Jam>Dark Star
6-24-70 Dark Star>Attics>Dark Star>Sugar Mag>Dark Star
2-18-71 Dark Star>Wharf Rat>Dark Star
1971 has lots of examples of Other One>Uncle>Other Ones; they didn't do that so much in Dark Star, but one great example is 4-24-72 Dark Star>Uncle>Dark Star. (The Star is a mere 40 minutes...)

it's so fat because it's a double sandwich that has been super sized.... it can't be healthy...

That's more than a sandwich, I call that a "club". That particular sequence is one of my personal all time favorite pieces from the band. So glad someone else thinks so as well.

3 lesser sandwiches I actually heard , at my first 3 concerts.
Dancing>Wharf Rat>Dancing, Shrine 10/14/76 , rather hypnotic . I of 2 played .
Playing>Wheel>Playing, Swing 2/26/77, glad I got to see THAT one 1 of 3. Also, getting toward the end of it's being played in the 1st set .
Playing>Franklin's>China Doll>NFA>Playing, Forum 6/4/77. OMG !

And my 4th, and 5th shows were pretty special too:
1/10/78 Shrine , check out the Other One>Wharf Rat>Franklin's>Around .
Sounds more like a 77 show .
12/30/78 Pauley Pavilion . Day before the more famous Winterland show . Got a St. Stephen out of it, and we got Hamza , etc.
Can you see why I became a Deadhead !
Diamondhead, did you go to these shows ?

Well still looks like you got to see a pretty good show for the first time out. Alligator Alley is always a fun listen.

They did that sandwich three times, my favorite is the one that opened the second set on 11-10-73. Throw in the WRS>LIG that closed the first set and you have the best single disc they have ever released imo.
